Of all the great bass singers in country music, none have gotten as low as the Oak Ridge Boys' Richard Sterban. On 'Elvira,' which is song No. 95 on the Top 100 Country Songs list, the little man with the big voice is at his best.

"Giddy Up Oom Poppa Omm Poppa Mow Mow," they sing after chorus. What does it mean? Who cares? 'Elvira' went to No. 1 on the country charts and became a Top 5 hit on Billboard's all-genre chart. Over two million people scooped up the single, which in the days before digital downloads was an almost unheard of accomplishment.
