Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus – Then and Now

The years have been good to Rascal Flatts bassist Jay DeMarcus. The singer looks healthier today than he did in the picture from almost a decade ago. His facial hair distinguishes him from the young up-and-comers he and his bandmates were in the early '00s. DeMarcus now looks more corporate CEO than rockstar, but the style befits the modern-day musician.

Almost forgotten in the conversation of wild country hair styles is the bassist's many looks. In 2005 he sported something of a flock of seagulls. It may have been a transitional style, as just one year later his dark brown locks flowed well past his ears. We won't comment on the soul patch... other than to say that we prefer the salt and pepper bristle he keeps today. In another 10 years one may be laughing at the aviators, but they're certainly en vogue in 2013.
