Reba McEntire is no stranger to the silver screen, but there's one role she stills wants to try: playing a villain on ABC's drama, Nashville.

McEntire hasn't yet appeared on the show, but she's eager to give it a shot. This spring, she joined the show's cast for a one-night performance at the Grand Ole Opry, where she sang her hot new single, "Going Out Like That."

“When they said, ‘You’re gonna be on the Nashville TV show,’ I said, ‘Yes! What do I play?’” she tells ET Online, recounting how she was asked to sing alongside the cast members. And although she had a great time portraying herself on stage, McEntire hopes she can step into a character role for a future appearance on the show.

“So, now I’ve already told all of ‘em, I said, ‘OK, I want to come back as, like, a villain on Music Row or something like that.’ That’d be fun,” McEntire says with a grin. But she wants to play a character, not just an alternate mean version of herself. “A fictional character,” she clarifies. “Reba’s not mean. Reba’s happy, havin’ too much fun.”

McEntire is well-versed in the art of on-camera acting. The multi-talented performer starred in Reba from 2001-2007, and on Malibu Country for one season that aired in 2012 and 2013.

In addition to eyeing a potential role on Nashville, McEntire has been keeping busy with a flurry of activities and appearances. She received a Milestone Award at the 50th Annual ACM Awards on April 19, and she's preparing for her Las Vegas residency alongside Brooks & Dunn. The residency kicks off in June.
