Rodney Atkins’ 2013 Music City Gives Back Concert to Benefit Tornado Victims
Rodney Atkins is hosting his third annual Music City Gives Back concert for fans who 'just wanna rock n' roll' this week. The benefit, booked for Tuesday (June 4), will light up the outdoor stage in downtown Nashville to help benefit those put out by the recent deadly tornado in Oklahoma.
Joining Atkins will be Justin Moore, Jana Kramer and Josh Thompson. The event is free to the public, and music is scheduled to begin at 6PM on Broadway at Fifth Ave, facing the river. This third annual event will be raising funds and accepting donations of duct tape, work gloves, flashlights and other materials, making it a great relief event for all of the victims in Oklahoma.
“Each year I gather some of my friends together to put on this show and have fun with our fans before CMA Music Fest, but the reason we get up here is to help the community come together to give our support to those in need," the singer says.
He adds, “With the recent disaster in Moore [Okla.], I knew that’s where we had to focus our efforts this year. I’m looking forward to the big night with Justin, Jana and Josh -- we’re going to rock!”
The 2013 Music City Gives Back concert is made possible by Carl Black Chevrolet, City National Bank, Pixel Flex, Ruiz Foods and Wrangler Western Wear. Donations may also be made on site.
