Hear Scotty McCreery’s New Song ‘Wherever You Are,’ Inspired by His Fiancee
Scotty McCreery fans are sure to be delighted by the instant gratification track he's sharing ahead of his Seasons Change album. A song called "Wherever You Are" was released Friday (Jan. 12) — the same day his album pre-order opened.
The catchy song is reminiscent of Joe Nichols' "Yeah" with an irresistible melody and premise that revolves around doing whatever it takes to be near the girl who has caught his eye. "Wherever You Are" finds McCreery longing to be with the girl he loves no matter where she is in the world, vowing to get to her.
"Wherever you are / Wherever it is / Baby it ain't too far / Just give me a call / Drop me a pin / Hit send / Enough of this damn being apart" McCreery lovingly croons with his signature smooth vocals.

"Wherever You Are" was co-written by McCreery, Frank Rogers and Dan Isbell and is inspired by the real love of McCreery's life, fiancee Gabi Dugal. The song is another taste of what fans can expect from a new project that includes the lead single "Five More Minutes," which is currently climbing the country charts. Seasons Change marks McCreery's first album release in five years (following 2013's See You Tonight) and is his debut on his new record label, Sony's Triple Tiger Records.
“In the last five years, I have grown from a teenager to a man, moved out on my own, lost my grandfather, proposed to the love of my life, and learned more about myself than I could have imagined,” McCreery says of Seasons Change. “This all shows up in the 11 songs on Seasons Change, and I cannot wait to share this music with my fans after such a long time between releases."
Seasons Change drops March 16.
