First impressions are everything, and the Statler Brothers indeed made a stellar impression with their debut single, 'Flowers on the Wall,' in 1965. The tune remained at No. 2 on the country charts for a staggering four weeks and gave the group their first Top 10 on the all-genre Hot 100 Singles Chart in 1966.

Written by member Lew Dewitt, our choice for the No. 56 on our Top 100 Country Songs list reached the Top 10 on the country charts once more, with Eric Heatherly's retro-country version peaking at No. 6 in 2000.
