Country duo Sugarland will take a break from their current Incredible Machine Tour in order to grace the 'American Idol' stage next Thursday, March 24, along with 'Idol' alum/Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson. The acts will perform on the results episode for the week.

The remaining 11 contestants will have competed the night before by singing classic Motown tunes.

Next week will mark Sugarland's first appearance on the show, which is enjoying a ratings uptick and a country-star-in-the-making in the form of hopeful Scotty McCreery this season. We're already wondering what song Sugarland will pull from their arsenal for their performance -- we're guessing the pop-ready 'Stuck Like Glue' -- and we're also curious which song McCreery will attempt to sing during his challenge.

It's going to be an exciting coupla episodes for country music fans on 'American Idol' next week! Past country acts to perform on the show include Shania Twain and Keith Urban. Of course, Carrie Underwood is a past winner of the show, too.
