Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles will be performing during Sunday's ACM Awards with Rihanna, dueting on the pop star's new song, ‘California King Bed.' Nettles, who was on Ryan Seacrest's radio show last week, was asked about her duet with Rihanna, and the 'Stuck Like Glue' singer says, "It's the first time, obviously, that Rihanna and I have ever sung together and the first time this song will be performed live, so we are thrilled."

As to how they linked up for this, Nettles reveals, "We're just big fans of each other, and so we wanted to do something that was fun and different and fresh and I reached out to her and said, 'Hey, anything you want to do?' and she said, 'I have this song that specifically I would love to do with you,' and I said, 'Yes ma'am, we will do it.'"

The pair's performance will be broadcast remotely during the show, as they'll be singing at the ACM Fan Jam at another venue while the ACM Awards are taking place. Nettles calls the Fan Jam "pretty much a free-for-all."

Seacrest mentioned how cool he thought it is when artists come together and create a moment like this, to which Nettles agrees: "I do too, 'cause it is such a moment and I think what it shows us is, you know, that good music is good and good performance is good and as long as you like it, who cares what you call it ... get out there and have fun with each other."

Rihanna is known for being a provocative dresser, so can Nettles keep up? "I am planning on having a diamond encrusted crotch if that's what your asking," she says. The 'Idol' host laughed, joking, "Well, that makes three of us on the show then."

Sugarland are on their Incredible Machine Tour right now, and you can check out all future dates at their official website.
