Taylor Swift Accepts Award for Best Country Solo Performance at 2012 Grammys
Taylor Swift is one-for-one at the 2012 Grammy Awards. The 22-year-old country superstar was on hand to accept her award for Best Country Solo Performance for 'Mean' during a pre-show webcast prior to the Sunday night broadcast on CBS.
With many of the other big name winners not on hand to take the stage after winning their awards in pop, rap and rock categories at the 2012 Grammys, Swift's appearance was refreshing. The always gracious singer continues to prove that her sincerity is genuine -- and that she is as humbled as she seems every time she takes the stage.
“There is no feeling quite like writing a song about someone who is mean to you and makes your life miserable and winning a Grammy for it. Thank you," Swift said, wearing a simple, yet beautiful, champagne colored tea-length dress. The other nominees were 'Dirt Road Anthem' by Jason Aldean, 'I'm Gonna Love You Through It' by Martina McBride, 'Honey Bee' by Blake Shelton and 'Mama's Song' by Carrie Underwood.
"It's always going to mean the world to me -- the idea of getting to go to the Grammys." Swift added. She is also nominated in the Best Country Album and Best Country Song categories.
