Taylor Swift returned home from the other side of the world today, having just wrapped her Speak Now Tour overseas. While she was delivering her songs to fans in far away lands, the pop/country songstress debuted a brand new one, 'Eyes Open' from 'The Hunger Games' soundtrack, live.

The singer premiered the song for the first time in concert while performing in Auckland, New Zealand last week -- right around the same time that the studio track leaked here in the States. Swift, who also contributes 'Safe & Sound,' her duet with Civil Wars, to the soundtrack of one of the most anticipated films of 2012, offered up an acoustic rendition of the tune in her performance. She was seated while strumming away.

It was an intimate number, one that made us feel like we right there with Swift while watching the video, even though she was thousands of miles away. Oh, the wonders of the technology that allow us to enjoy a live version of a new song played on another continent.

Swift infused the song with her signature warmth, and she was really belting out the lyrics and knuckling down on her guitar during the last moment, hitting some serious notes. It made the hair on our arms stand on end for a second.

The crowd clearly loved it, erupting in deafening screams and applauding profusely when she finished. But that didn't stop Swift from declaring, "You do like it!"

'The Hunger Games' soundtrack -- which also showcases the talents of Miranda Lambert and Pistol Annies -- hits stores tomorrow, March 20. The film follows Friday, March 23.
