Taylor Swift and Tim McGraw Stand Up to Cancer With Performances on TV Special
Two titans of country music -- that'd be Taylor Swift and Tim McGraw -- will do their part and stand up to cancer on Sept. 7. And just how will they show their support? With performances at the third annual 'Stand Up to Cancer' telethon, aka SU2C, that's how!
Swift and McGraw are joining an A-list collection of celebs, actors, singers, etc, including McGraw's 'Country Strong' co-star Gwyneth Paltrow, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Emma Stone, Jessica Biel and many more, to help raise awareness and funds for this important cause.
The telethon works to create a groundswell of public support for groundbreaking research, which is accelerating the delivery of new therapies to patients from "the bench to the bedside." SU2C's work is imperative, and to see a host of celebs use their fame and sphere of influence to call attention to this cause is heartwarming.
Additional performers will be announced soon.
SU2C will air on Friday, Sept. 7 from 8 to 9PM ET/PT. Major networks like ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC will donate one hour of simultaneous commercial-free primetime programming for this nationally-televised fundraising special. The event will be broadcast live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
Be sure and make a note in your calendar to tune in and watch Taylor and Tim, all the while supporting a good cause.
