Temecula Road Are ‘Hoping’ for More Than Friendship in New Video [Exclusive Premiere]
Temecula Road have just filmed a video for their new single "Hoping," and they're giving fans a sneak peek before it officially debuts.
The teenage country trio of 18-year old Emma Salute (vocals/mandolin), her 16-year-old sister Maddie Salute (vocals) and their 17-year-old friend Dawson Anderson (vocals/guitar) hail from California, and they're bringing a unique youthful energy to country music with their infectious songs and signature harmonies. That youthful spirit pervades the video for "Hoping," which is premiering exclusively with Taste of County before it debuts later Friday (July 21) via Disney's digital channels.
"'Hoping' is one of our favorite songs because it’s so relatable," the group tells Taste of Country. "Everyone has had a summer crush and this song is all about the anticipation of whether it will turn into something more. We shot the 'Hoping' video in our hometown, Temecula, Calif. We wanted the video to capture that summer vibe of just hanging out and having fun with your friends."
2017's Hottest Artists Under 25
Temecula Road recently signed with Buena Vista Records and released their debut single, "What If I Kissed You," in February. Radio Disney recently named the trio their newest Next Big Thing artist, an honor previously given to Shawn Mendes, Fifth Harmony and Kelsea Ballerini.
The Huffington Post named the group one of the top country artists to watch in 2016, and Temecula Road spent much of the year on the road with Martina McBride, Josh Turner, Joe Nichols, Sara Evans, Eli Young Band and more. They also joined Jessie James Decker on a sold-out national tour, and their online covers of other artists have earned praise from Carrie Underwood, Brett Eldredge, Dan + Shay, Cam and RaeLynn. The trio recently performed overseas at the C2C Music Festival at the 02 Arena in London.
