'PrizeFighter' is one of six new songs on Trisha Yearwood's 'PrizeFighter: Hit After Hit' album, due out November 17. But the superstar says the song wouldn't have happened without her friend and frequent collaborator Kelly Clarkson.

During an interview with Taste of Country Nights radio host Sam Alex, Yearwood admitted she couldn't hit the high harmony parts Clarkson brings down to Earth so effortlessly.

“It is so fun to sing with her, and it is really cool to hear on the air,” Yearwood says. “We just have the best time singing together.”

Yearwood has literally been working nonstop -- on music and a new cookbook -- while on the road with husband Garth Brooks this month. They had just finished 11 sold out shows in Chicago when they visited ToC Nights, and the 50-year-old admits she wasn't there to go skydiving or take batting practice with Brooks ... she was holed up in the hotel room working on the cookbook. It's now complete and coming out in April.

As for cooking advice?

"What’s the worst that happens?" Yearwood says. It's a good motto. "If it’s terrible, you order pizza."

Sam Alex is the host of Taste of Country Nights radio, a syndicated night show which airs on more than 60 Townsquare Media Group stations nationwide.
