Blending a Family With Vince Gill Was Difficult, Amy Grant Admits
Blended families are increasingly common in this day and age, but it's not always a seamless transition for all involved parties -- even for a pair of famous musicians like Amy Grant and Vince Gill.
During an interview with Katie Couric on 'Katie,' Grant admits that the family went through a bit of a rocky phase when she and the singer and guitarist got married. The couple wed in 2000 with a total of four children among them, three of which were Grant's from her marriage to Gary Chapman, while one from Gill's union with Janis Oliver.
"I laugh about our wedding day, because all of our photographs, I refer to my grim-faced children," Grant shares. "But really, Vince and I were the only excited ones."
Things are much better now, thankfully. The family is stable and runs smoothly 13 years later, with the songstress revealing, "It feels like we all are welcome. That’s how it feels."
It was just a matter of time. Grant and Gill share a daughter, Corrina, 12, from their union.
