Waterloo Revival’s George Birge Welcomes a Baby Boy
George Birge, one-half of the duo Waterloo Revival, has welcomed a baby boy. According to a post on Facebook, the singer's wife gave birth late Monday (Jan. 16).
George James Birge is George and Kara Lee Birge's first child together. There's no indication on how big the new arrival was, but all indications are that the baby boy and his mother are resting and recovering nicely.
"We started our little family today," Birge writes on Facebook. "Welcome to the world George James Birge you made us the happiest people in the world today!"
Birge and his Waterloo Revival bandmate Cody Cooper recently relocated their families from Austin to Nashville. They're on Toby Keith's Show Dog Nashville record label and in addition to looking over a new family, they're planning new music for 2017.
Waterloo Revival was recently chosen for the Taste of Country RISERS Hot Seat poll, in which fans get to decide which country newcomer will be the 10th artist in an extensive, multi-platform artists to watch campaign that begins in March.
The baby is the second bit of exciting domestic news for the duo in the last month. In December Cooper proposed to his girlfriend Emily Johnson in Cancun, Mexico. "Feliz Navidad from the future Mr. & Mrs. Cooper!" he wrote in an Instagram post, tagging it with #SheSaidYes. The couple have not announced any further wedding plans.
