‘A’ Is for Alabama – Top Country Artists A to Z

Why: While Eddy Arnold is Billboard's No. 1 charting artist of all time, Alabama is the greatest country music group of all time. They won several Entertainer of the Year Awards at the CMAs and ACMs and they were truly entertainers, not just hitmakers that could draw a crowd. Country groups weren't taken as seriously as solo artists before the early '80s. Alabama's fame lasted well into the late '90s before a farewell tour that ended in 2003. In 2005 Alabama was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
