The new season of 'American Idol' is upon us and already, new judge Jennifer Lopez is crying thanks an 'Idol' hopeful's stunning rendition of Carrie Underwood's 'Temporary Home.'

On Thursday night's episode, Paris Tassin, a raven-haired, 23-year-old medical assistant and single mother to a special needs child from New Orleans, belted out Underwood's hit single with unharnessed passion.

She hit all the notes, but her voice exhibited an unprecedented warmth -- and that's what moved J. Lo to tears.

Tassin, who told the judges' panel that she likes to sing pop and country tunes, also shed a tear, saying, "I do that for my daughter. I want to teach her to go for her dreams."

"She's the best thing that's ever happened to me in my life. I'm very proud of her," Tassin said of her daughter before belting out the emotional tune, adding that "every day she sings with me."

"I love to sing. I love to sing. It's my dream," Tassin promised.

Tassin's dreams are one step closer to coming true, as the judges upstreamed her to the next round. Something tells us we'll be hearing more of Paris Tassin's gorgeous pipes this season.
