Brad Paisley has returned to the top of the charts. His latest single, 'Perfect Storm,' hit No. 1 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart this week.

The song moved up one notch this week to take the top spot, marking Paisley's first No. 1 hit since 'Remind Me,' his duet with Carrie Underwood, reached No. 1 in September of 2011. According to Billboard, that three-year period marks Paisley's longest absence to date from the top of the singles chart.

'Perfect Storm' is the second single from Paisley's current studio album, 'Moonshine in the Trunk.' The sweeping ballad pays homage to a complicated woman who is worth the work it takes to understand her: “She’s Sunday drive meets high-speed chase / She ain’t just a song / She’s the whole mixtape / She’s so complicated / That’s the way God made her / Sunshine mixed with a little hurricane.”

Since 'Remind Me' peaked in 2011, the singer-songwriter and guitarist has topped out at No. 2 with three songs; 'Southern Comfort Zone,' 'Beat This Summer' and 'River Bank.'
