Brantley Gilbert is known for his rugged sound and tough songs, but when it comes to Christmas, the country crooner gets his holiday spirit from his wife, Amber Cochran.

Gilbert admits in a clip from Big Machine Label Group that the holidays weren't always his favorite time of year, but his lovely wife is changing that mindset.

“This is definitely my wife’s favorite time of year," he says, adding, "there's always Christmas music in the house" and that she puts up the decorations before Thanksgiving and keeps them up long after the holidays. "Christmas has never really been one of my favorite times of year until she came along, but she’s made it awesome and I’m sure this year will be a good one.”

2017 is looking to be a good year for the singer-songwriter. His new album, The Devil Don't Sleepis set for release in January, with his tour of the same name extending into the new year, kicking off in February in Pennsylvania and continuing through the spring. He'll bring Tucker Beathard and singer-songwriter Luke Combs, whose debut single "Hurricane" hit airwaves in 2016, along with him as supporting acts. The upcoming album also features his latest single, "The Weekend."

The Devil Don't Sleep marks Gilbert's first album release since 2014's Just As I Am, which topped Billboard's Top Country Albums Chart and includes the hit singles "Bottoms Up" and "One Hell of an Amen." The singer was engaged to fellow country star Jana Kramer in 2013 before they broke it off a year later. He and Cochran tied the knot in 2015.
