On Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, Brett Eldredge stepped foot on the prestigious stage of the Grand Ole Opry where he performed his debut single, 'Raymond.' After a successful performance where the country music audience embraced the talented newcomer, he realized he was wearing socks that did not match.

"I’ve started an intervention now when I play the Grand Ole Opry," Eldredge tells Taste of Country. "I always wear unmatching socks! The first time I played the Opry [went so well], that I look at it as a good luck charm. I’m always going to wear unmatching socks every time!"

Eldredge will have plenty of chances for that as he has quickly become one of the hottest newcomers in country music.

'Raymond' -- which was inspired by Eldredge's grandmother, who has Alzheimer's -- continues to climb the country singles chart each week and will be featured on his forthcoming album on Warner Bros. Records, slated for release later this year.
