Brothers Osborne Deliver Fiery Performance of ‘Shoot Me Straight’ on ‘Colbert’ [Watch]
Fresh off their ACM Awards wins for Vocal Duo of the Year and Video of the Year for "It Ain’t My Fault," Brothers Osborne made country music proud again on Monday night (April 23). The duo performed "Shoot Me Straight" on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and set the stage on fire with some massive vocals.
Bathed in some sort of sepia, Instagram-inspired filter, the Bros' appearance was retro, but the hype around them is very modern-day. The appearance was scheduled in part to promote the duo’s release of their second album Port Saint Joe, which was released last Friday (April 20). John Osborne and TJ Osborne co-wrote each and every track on the new album, which was produced by Jay Joyce, who has also worked with Eric Church and Little Big Town in the past.
Best Country Songs of 2018 (So Far):
“After years of writing, traveling, playing and evolving we’re finally releasing new music,” John Osborne says. “This music, tracked in a beach house in Florida, is a sonic representation of the road we’ve been traveling.”
“In the making of Port Saint Joe, we weren’t trying to be anything or anyone that wasn’t truly us,” adds TJ. “Imperfections and all.”
Next up for the country duo is a performance at the famed Stagecoach Festival in Indio, Calif., on Saturday (April 28) The Maryland natives will then embark on their first headlining U.K. tour starting May 4 in Dublin, Ireland, and then will follow it up with a stint on Dierks Bentley’s Mountain High Tour, which starts on May 17 in Columbia, Md.
