With the price of fast food meals lately — they're higher than they've ever been — you expect your order to be correct.

You don't expect your burger to have blood in it, but that's exactly what happened to a mom and her child.

This is the stuff that nightmares are made of: New Yorker Tiffany Floyd posted a TikTok video about an insane experience with her 4-year-old daughter, Matayla, at a Burger King in Getzville, New York.

"Today I went to Burger King by my house," Floyd says. She got her daughter a kid's meal with a burger and fries — pretty typical stuff.

"Obviously I’m a busy mom, I just gave her the bag to eat the food," she recalls.

This is where it gets frightening.

The 4 year-old says, from the backseat, "Mom, I don’t want ketchup."

Floyd continues to explain: "So I take the bag back thinking that they messed up our order. I look in her bag and there is blood all over her bag, her toys, her fries, everything."

"I yelled at my daughter to spit out whatever she had in her mouth."

Floyd pulled her car over and called the Burger King location to speak to a manager. The manager in charge told her that the worker bagging their order had cut his finger, but if she wanted to come back for a refund, they'd provide one.

But that wasn't enough for Floyd, who was still feeling uneasy — she instead called her local health department to file a report.

"(The manager) was so nonchalant about it, at that moment, that’s when I started getting livid."

Hearing her story, a rep from Today reached out to Burger King and got this response:

"We were deeply upset and concerned to learn of this incident. We have been in contact with the Guest and are working with her to resolve this incident. This incident was the result of a team member in the restaurant who injured his finger, and upon noticing immediately stepped away."

The representative also says that Burger King closed the location over the weekend to re-train all team members. They also hired an external company to complete a deep cleaning.

As for little Matayla, she has to now undergo monthly blood tests for the next year to make sure nothing was transmitted to her from the blood she consumed.

Floyd has since hired a lawyer — they definitely did not have it their way at this Burger King.
