Charles Kelley’s 2-Year-Old Got a Tattoo Just Like Dad
Is two years old too young to get a tattoo? Well, yes, if you're talking about the permanent kind—but it's good fun to play around with the temporary variety, as Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley demonstrated with his young son Wade.
On Friday (Mar. 9), Kelley posted a cute video on Instagram showing Wade trying out his first tattoo, placed on his forearm. "Right where Daddy's is!" notes Kelley.
Wade patiently waits for a few seconds while a damp cloth is applied, and then the cool results are revealed—a pretty sharp-looking tiger design.
"A tigah!" Wade happily notes. Too cute!
Kelley married his wife Cassie McConnell in 2009; after a long struggle with infertility the couple welcomed Ward Charles Kelley on February 11, 2016.
Lady Antebellum is gearing up for summer, which will launch a four-month tour with Darius Rucker on the co-headlining 2018 Summer Plays on Tour. The two acts take over several major cities in the U.S. and Canada from July through October.
“For us as a band, being out on the road together is where it all comes to life," Kelley says of the event in a press release. "Darius is one of our closest friends, and so we just feel really excited to get to share this tour and those memories on and off stage with him."
