Did Taylor Swift Date John Mayer?

Rumors started when: In February of 2010, In Touch magazine reported that Taylor Swift was cuddling with John Mayer in the studio and later went to his hotel suite. Later, she would record the most cutting (and 'humiliating') of her revenge songs, 'Dear John,' which was obviously about him.

The scoop: They did something, but it's hard to say they "dated" in the innocent way the word suggests. Mayer's womanizing resume leaves one wondering if he didn't treat her poorly after a short time together. They definitely hung out -- likely in more ways than one -- but it seems doubtful he ever called her his "girlfriend."
