Over the weekend, Dierks Bentley and some of his musical friends helped raise over $144,000 during the Chicago stop on his Miles and Music for Kids fundraiser. The money raised from the charity motorcycle ride and sold-out concert on Oct. 9 benefited Chicago's Children's Memorial Hospital.

Bentley created Miles and Music for Kids five years ago, and since its inception, has raised over $1.7 million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in the cities where the event takes place. The first event was held in Nashville, and has since expanded to various other locations including Phoenix, Dallas-Fort Worth, Seattle, Atlanta, Columbus and Chicago.

Earlier in the week, Bentley launched his Country and Cold Cans Tour, which features special guests Eli Young Band and Jerrod Niemann. The trek is set to continue through November, with other stops along the way in New York, Texas, Oklahoma and Illinois, among others.

Bentley's next Miles and Music for Kids event is set to take place in Nashville this weekend, on October 16. Josh Thompson, Colt Ford, Jerrod Niemann and Eli Young Band are among those confirmed artists set to perform at the event.
