Dolly Parton to Release New Album ‘Better Days’ on June 28, Announces 2011 Tour Dates + Her New Single ‘Together You and I’

Huge news for all of the Dolly Parton fans out there! The queen of country is getting ready to release her album, 'Better Day,' which is comprised of completely original and all-new material, on June 28. Parton will also be debuting her first single off of the album, 'Together You and I,' on May 27 on 'The Ellen Degeneres Show.'

'Better Day' will mark Parton's fourth release on her independent record label Dolly Records, and it will be her first album since 2008's 'Backwoods Barbie.' As for the single 'Together You and I,' Parton is shooting the video for it this week, and the song will hit radio airwaves the same day (May 27) she premieres it on 'Ellen.'

To top all of this off, the 'Jolene' singer will also be embarking on a world tour this summer. The tour will kick off in the U.S. in Parton's home state on July 17. She will be making her way to the west and east coasts before heading to Europe for some gigs, including two shows (September 7 and 8 ) at the O2 Arena in London, which is where Parton recorded her critically-acclaimed 'Live From London' CD/DVD compilation.
