Garth Brooks Reveals Details for ‘Anthology Part III Live’
Garth Brooks has announced the upcoming release of the third part of his massive anthology project. The superstar will release Anthology Part III Live in November.
The third installment of a five-part anthology, Live traces the arc of Brooks' performing career, beginning with his first job offer to play at Opryland USA in Nashville — a gig his father steered him away from by sending him away to college. It follows Brooks from a stint as a bar bouncer, to performing for a handful of people at Willie's Saloon in Stillwater, Okla., to opening for acts including Reba McEntire, the Judds and Kenny Rogers, to becoming the single most successful headlining artist in country music.
Brooks wrote the anthology with Warren Zanes, and it allows fans to see behind the scenes for some of his biggest career triumphs, from Croke Park in Ireland to the concert in Central Park that drew a million people.
Anthology Part III Live consists of five CDs. The 52 live recordings include Brooks' new live album, Triple Live, which documents his record-breaking, three-year comeback tour. The booklet contains more than 100 behind-the-scenes and performance photos.
According to a press release, there are also more than 10 "augmented reality experiences." Fans can download the Garth Live app and hold it over the book cover, as well as some of the various photos inside the anthology, to "watch Garth's Live story come to life!"
Anthology Part III Live is set for release on Nov. 20.
