A seven-month renovation process to return Tapatio Springs Golf Resort and Conference Center into a destination for golfers is complete, and George Strait says he's proud of the finished product. The 59-year-old country singer and his partner Tom Cusick recently saved the property from foreclosure.

"We were thrilled to officially unveil the new look, feel and flavors of Tapatio," KSAT.com reports Strait said. "Tom and I have worked hard to create the perfect Texas Hill Country resort, and we look forward to hosting golfers, families and friends, and the community as they experience all that Tapatio Springs has to offer."

The 27 holes weren't part of the revamping. Instead, the pair worked on remodeling the resort's hotel, pro-shop and locker rooms. The golf course has a comfort station that golfers can access for refreshments during their round. La Cascada restaurant is described as a culinary highlight.

Strait and Cusick first made their deal public back in April. It's believed that the pair paid $4.5 million for the resort, which had been neglected in recent years. “The resort has suffered through uncertainty, rumors and a lack of maintenance," Cusick said previously. "George and I are making a personal commitment to eliminate those issues and turn Tapatio Springs into the showplace it should be."

The public course is located in Boerne, Texas, in the heart of Texas hill country, just 30 miles northwest of San Antonio. The area is no stranger to stars; Miranda Lambert married Blake Shelton near Boerne in May.
