Rachel Bilson -- who used to play Summer on 'The OC' -- is back on a weekly TV series. She's playing the lead character in 'Hart of Dixie' on the CW, starring as a New York City doctor who is transplanted down south to Alabama. CMT reports that the show's Monday night premiere was heavy on contemporary country music, given the series' setting and all! Props to the producers for focusing on newer tunes by current artists, which isn't always the case.

Darius Rucker's 'This' and Taylor Swift's 'Love Story' were both used on the show, as was Sugarland's 'Little Miss.' The show's music supervisor is doing a good job of utilizing some of the genre's biggest superstars and their hits to make musical points during key scenes on the show, at least on the premiere episode.

The episode even made a reference to Carrie Underwood, during a scene when Bilson's good doc delivers a baby. Her co-star Tim Matheson claims the mother possessed a set of lungs "that would make Carrie Underwood jealous." Zing.

The show airs on Mondays, so tune in to see how country music is represented down the road.
