Hayden Panettiere Welcomes a Baby Girl!

Hayden Panettiere and her fiance, Wladimir Klitschko, got the best early Christmas gift they could ask for. The couple welcomed their first child on Tuesday (Dec. 9).

People magazine reports their little girl, Kaya Evdokia Klitschko, weighed in at 7 lbs., 14 oz., and measured 20 inches.

“We are over the moon and madly in love!” the couple said in a prepared statement.

The 26-year-old actress plays Juliette Barnes on the ABC hit show 'Nashville.' She announced her engagement to Klitschko in October of 2013. He is a champion heavyweight boxer.

She did not comment during much of her pregnancy, but confirmed the sex of her baby at the Emmys in August.

“I’m thrilled that I am having a girl first because I feel like I know a lot about raising a strong woman,” she tells Hello magazine.

“I feel very empowered myself and I think my daughter will, too.”
