Jana Kramer Is Back With an Ode to Lost Love, ‘Dammit’ [Listen]
Jana Kramer released a new song called "Dammit," and in doing so, reminded us all how the thought of 'the one who got away' never truly leaves us. It’s a story that Kramer herself knows all too well.
"'Dammit' is authentic to me,” says the singer, who wrote the tearjerker of a song alongside the talented Nicolle Galyon and Elizabeth Huett. "It's about acknowledging and surrendering to the idea that love doesn't always work out. I feel like we've all been there and experienced relationships that didn't last."

Despite the song’s melancholy lyrics, Kramer seems to be in quite a sweet spot when it comes to her personal life, as she seems to be thoroughly enjoying her time with hubby Michael Caussin and their adorable daughter Jolie Rae. In fact, recently Kramer showed off her daughter’s singing talents, as she belted out a song from the much-loved movie Frozen. Indeed, it’s those moments that make mommyhood fun.
But like strong women know too well, there is often a fire that continues to burn within them, and Kramer is unleashing that fire within this new music, which serves as the Michigan native's second independent release following the wildly popular "I’ve Done Love."
And of course, the new music continues to entice Kramer’s loyal legion of fans, who have been craving a new album from the country beauty. One will recall that Kramer’s last album (Thirty-One) was released all the way back in 2015, featuring the blockbuster hit "I Got the Boy."
