Jason Aldean on Controversial Brittany Kerr Kissing Photos: ‘I Screwed Up’
Jason Aldean has taken ownership of the risque photos that show him cuddling and kissing former 'American Idol' singer Brittany Kerr. The 'Take a Little Ride' singer explained what led to his inappropriate actions in Los Angeles last Wednesday, admitting he'd had too much to drink.
His statement reads:
Hey Guys – I wanted to talk to you directly, so you were hearing the truth from me and not just reading allegations made about my personal life on gossip web sites.
The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that's the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I'm not perfect, and I'm sorry for disappointing you guys. I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support.
Aldean will have some time to rectify the situation at home. He's not scheduled to hit the road again until Oct. 25, although he'll be heavily promoting his new album 'Night Train' before and after its Oct. 16 release. Over 27K of his Facebook followers have responded to his statement, with the majority offering words of support.
Aldean married his wife Jessica in 2001. They have two daughters, Keeley and Kendyl.
