Jason Aldean is one for melting the lines between country music and other genres. Not only did he bring a major hip-hop influence to his 'Dirt Road Anthem' hit, but he invited pop superstar Kelly Clarkson to join him on his soulful 'Don't You Wanna Stay' ballad. Aldean performed both tracks during tonight's ABC 'CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock' special, Clarkson included.

Aldean had no trouble switching gears in tonight's three-hour televised concert. He and the original 'American Idol' encouraged the CMA Fest crowd to sway along as they exchanged lines on 'Don't You Wanna Stay,' and as usual, Clarkson didn't disappoint in the vocal department.

Immediately following her exit stage left, Aldean led into his rap/country blend, 'Dirt Road Anthem,' which resulted in loud screams from the beer-filled crowd. Those in Tennessee seemed to have nothing but love for the No. 1 hit single.
