Hall and Oates' John Oates is gearing up to host his second annual 7908 Aspen Songwriters Festival later this month in Aspen, Colo.

This year, Oates has pulled together yet another stellar lineup consisting of Shawn Colvin, Band of Heathens, James Otto, Brett Eldredge, Sarah Buxton, Kim Carnes, Elizabeth Cook, Keb’ Mo’, Sam Bush, Donna Frankenreiter, Matt Nathanson, Glen Tilbrook from Squeeze and many more.

"It’s not just country or Americana; it’s all sorts of stuff," Oates tells Taste of Country. "We’re real excited."

The 7908 Aspen Songwriters Festival will take place March 30-April 2 at the Wheeler Opera House in Aspen, where Oates resides. While this may be only the second year of the event, Oates is hoping that it continues to grow each year.

"We’re looking forward to expanding on that," he says. "My dream would be to turn it into a Sundance for songwriters. That would be cool. We want to have workshops and master classes and all sorts of things related to songwriting. That’s something I’m working on with some friends and partners to expand upon, but this year it’s basically just a cool show."

Full festival tickets and single day passes for the 7908 Aspen Songwriters Festival are both on sale now. For more information about the festival, click here.
