Josh Thompson always jokes that he still lives on "concrete hours," seeing how he wakes up in the wee hours of the morning no matter what time he goes to bed the night before -- just like he used to when he poured concrete for a living back in the day.

Well thanks to the GAC network, Thompson had good reason to be on "concrete hours" when they put him to work on the hit program, 'Day Jobs.' In the episode, which premieres Wednesday night (May 23), Thompson helps refinish a patio and basement at a veterans home in Nashville.

"I started helping my dad pour concrete when I was 12," says Thompson. "It’s a trade that I’m thankful to have and it helped me survive when I first moved to Nashville. It’s amazing how quickly it all came back to me. We had a lot of fun, and it was great to be able to help out some veterans in the process."

Thompson’s current single 'Comin' Around' is the first release from his forthcoming album, 'Change.' The album is slated for release sometime later this year. Fans can catch Thompson on the road this summer as part of the 2012 Country Throwdown Tour. Click here to see a full list of dates where he will be appearing throughout the next several months.

And, don't forget to tune in to catch Josh Thompson on 'Day Jobs' at 10PM ET on GAC. The episode will also feature Jack Ingram.
