Justin Moore Goes Honky-Tonkin’ With Fans in Nashville
Three Nashville honky-tonks in two hours? That's no problem for Justin Moore. He'll even cook you breakfast when it's all over.
The "You Look Like I Need a Drink" singer celebrated the release of his new Kinda Don't Care album by playing three of downtown Nashville's most popular bars on Tuesday night (Aug. 16). A quick acoustic set at Honky Tonk Central led to a similar set at Rippy's. Then he crossed Broadway to join his band for an electric set at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. Watch his complete performance from Honky Tonk Central above.
Hit songs from past albums, new music from Kinda Don't Care and deep cuts filled the three sets. He started the night with "Point at You" and closed with a new song called "More Middle Fingers," his duet with Brantley Gilbert. A packed crowd at Tootsies received the song enthusiastically, to say the least. You've never seen so many middle fingers flying in the air, all toward a singer who was happy to be getting them.
During most songs, Moore grabbed cell phones and posed for selfies. He also talked about his journey to Nashville and some of the memorable points in his career.
When the day was done, Moore and a bus full of media and industry people (including Taste of Country) joined fans at Waffle House, where Moore cooked liked he'd been working there for years:
Dinner and a show is so overrated. A concert and fourth meal is where it's at, especially when the featured performer — an artist with four No. 1 hits and two gold albums — is serving it up smothered, covered, peppered or however you want it.
