Just days after releasing their collaborative song "This Feeling," Kelsea Ballerini and the Chainsmokers visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday (Sept. 26) to give a world premiere performance.

Donning a white bodysuit, sparkly jacket and red high heels, Ballerini performed the song alongside Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart and Alex Pall as if they have been playing it forever. And while the performance was light and fun, Taggart recently opened up about the deeper meaning behind the song.

“This Feeling” is the first song i wrote when i came out of my depressed state for the first time,” Taggart wrote in an Instagram post on Sept. 20. "It’s a song about following your heart even when people don’t believe in you. mentally i’m in a good place right now. i’m in love with my friends and family and thank god everyday that i get to write songs for a living."

"This Feeling" will be featured on Ballerini’s just-announced deluxe edition of her sophomore album Unapologetically, which is set for release on Oct. 26. The deluxe album will also feature Ballerini’s new song “Miss Me More,” which will impact country radio come Oct. 15.

"I’m continually grateful for the chapters of my life that have led me to who and where I am now ... especially this one,” Ballerini says of "Miss Me More," which has been a fan-favorite for a long time. “I remember looking in the mirror and not recognizing myself. I had made myself smaller, had stopped celebrating my life and the things I had worked hard for, and had conformed the way I looked and acted to fit into the box of how someone else saw me and wanted me. All to say, I missed myself more than any kind of love anyone else could give me. And I hope when you hear this new single of mine on the radio you remember YOU are worth fighting for."
