Little Big Town welcomed a new baby to their ever growing family earlier this year with Kimberly Schlapman's adoption of Dolly Grace. In a recent interview in Nashville with Taste of Country and other media, Schlapman opened up about her new daughter and revealed that yes, she is in fact named after another very famous country singer.

"She's named after somebody special, yes," Schlapman revealed. "Dolly Parton, yes, has inspired my whole life. My husband is the one who thought of us naming her [Dolly] when we had hoped and prayed for this baby. This was my husband's idea. So, it's perfect. I love it."

Parton recently shared her congratulations to Schlapman and her family on Twitter.

While Schlapman shared her adoption news in early January, many people misinterpreted the reveal and thought she had been pregnant.

"We've had fun watching people come up to her and go, 'Golly, you look incredible! We didn't know you were pregnant,'" bandmate Karen Fairchild added.

Dolly Grace is the latest addition to Schlapman's family, making her older daughter Daisy a big sister. As it turns out, Daisy is over the moon about her little sister.

"Daisy is in heaven. She's a little mama," Schlapman gushed. "She prayed for this baby every night when she said her prayers. She even asked Santa Claus for this baby, so that's pretty amazing. She loves and adores her. She kisses her all the time and she carries her around the house. She's very happy. It's precious and beautiful."

Little Big Town will release their eighth studio album, The Breaker, on Feb. 24. The album's lead single is "Better Man," which was written by Taylor Swift.
