Broadway actress-turned-country-singer Laura Bell Bundy is the latest to sign with Big Machine Label Group. An announcement was made Wednesday (July 3) alongside her new single 'Two Step' -- a collaboration with Colt Ford -- expected to be released this month.

Label president Scott Borchetta said Bundy will lead the country dance movement that is starting to blow up. "Laura Bell is a fireball of energy and attitude with all the right moves," he says (quote via All Access).

This isn't Bundy's first country effort. She's previously released an independent release in 2007, in addition to 'Achin' and Shakin'' on Mercury Records in 2010. Two songs from 'Achin' and Shakin'' charted, including the Top 30 single 'Giddy on Up' which she performed at the 2010 ACM Awards in Las Vegas. 'Drop on By' was from the album's first disc (the slower, more melodic "achin'" half), but it barely cracked the Billboard Country Chart.

'Two Step' is more similar to songs found on the "shakin'" half of the album. In fact, the song was recently included on the new 'Dance Y'all (Volume 1)' EP, released to iTunes and Amazon. A music video will be released on July 4, but Bundy recently gave fans a sneak preview via YouTube.

The Big Machine Label Group website lists Bundy on the Big Machine Records roster. The Valory Music Co. and Republic Nashville also fall under the BMLG umbrella.
