Luke Bryan Shares the Exact Moment He Knew He Would Be Friends With Jason Aldean [Exclusive]

Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean have been friends for decades now.

At first, they were competitive. Then they met and became cordial with one another, and they became the best of friends shortly thereafter.

Bryan was a guest on Taste of Country Nights, where I asked him the exact moment that he knew he would be not just acquaintances with Aldean, but best friends with him.

When Is the Exact Moment Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean Became Friends?

"One of the moments was I had won an ACM award, or got nominated for one, and I was touring him...I think I was up for Best New Artist, and I told him I got nominated and he flew up off the couch, just hugged me, fired up, high fiving like that good news happened to him," he recalled.

The "Country and She Knows It" singer and American Idol judge said in that moment, "I remember thinking, 'Man, this is what it's about, this guy is a good dude.'"

Bryan got sentimental on me for this part, and you could really tell that he was speaking from the heart and that Aldean was truly a great friend.

"Since then, we've done these careers separately and together, and we've done nothing but try to have fun with this stuff."

The two were together on April 25 as they co-headlined Between the Hedges, a concert for more than 60,000 fans at Redford Stadium, where the Georgia Bulldogs play.
