Ree Drummond Becoming a First-Time Grandma!

Ree Drummond is adding first-time grandma to her title pretty soon! The Food Network’s oldest daughter, Alex Drummond, and husband, Mauricio Scott, shared the exciting news on Instagram (Sunday, June 23).

“We can’t wait to meet you, little one. Baby Scott joining the party this winter! Thank you Lord for this precious gift,” Alex Drummond Scott writes on instagram.

With their golden retriever George, the couple embraces each other with smiles spread on their faces while holding the sonogram.

Per the Instagram caption, The Pioneer Woman can expect her first grandchild come winter.

She was quick to write on her daughter’s post.

"Beyond happy for you two!! (And for the whole family!) Love you, Alex and Mauricio,” Ree gushes.

Alex’s sister Paige also joined in on the congratulatory comments, writing: “So happy I could cry can’t wait to be an auntie!!! I love you guys so much.”

Drummond is mom to Alex, Paige, 23, Bryce, 20, Todd, 18, and Jamar, 20.

With her daughter’s blessing, Drummond took to her Pioneer Woman blog to share the exciting news with her readers.

“Oh my gosh. Alex is pregnant,” she writes. “My first baby is having her first baby. My child is going to have a child. It's surreal, and I'm sure all of you grandparents can relate to the feeling of momentarily leaving your body after hearing upon hearing similar news."

The mom-to-be posted Instagram stories she had documented before sharing the news. From the post of her sitting in bed, it seems like she has experienced morning sickness that can be quite common while in the beginning stages of pregnancy.

Alex and Mauricio said “I Do” in 2021, with a breathtaking wedding on the Drummond family ranch. At the time, The Pioneer woman joked at the couple having a honeymoon baby.

Their wedding was just months after her husband Ladd was in a significant truck collision resulting in injury. Thankfully, Ladd did regain full health and was able to walk his daughter down the isle.
