Doctors Are Warning Against This Gross Viral Beauty ‘Trend’
Everyone wants to look younger, but this is taking it too far for most sane people.
It is reported that the average American spends $15,000 on skin care in their lifetime, but one beauty influencer says that the best skin care cream is free.
Brazilian model and beauty influencer Débora Peixoto has gone viral after showing her followers that she uses her own poop as a face mask. You read that correctly.
If you don't have the stomach to watch the video, I don't blame you. She pulls a small container from her fridge that looks to contain some fecal matter that she then applies to her face using a small paddle. It gets worse as she then uses a small amount of water to then soften the stool and work it into a paste to cover her face.
Peixoto claims that this mixture does wonders to slow aging in the skin, even though she needs to wear a clip on her nose to hold the smell at bay.
As you can imagine, experts are saying that this is NOT recommended.
"Of all the skincare ‘trends’, this is one of the strangest I have ever come across,"Dr. Sophie Momen, a dermatologist at Cadogan Clinic in London, told the New York Post. "There is absolutely no scientific benefit to your skin in using feces as a face mask.”
Shocking, I know.
