NFL teams looking for a sneaky wide receiver as the playoffs draw near may want to turn to country music. It was just over five years ago that Kenny Chesney practiced with the New Orleans Saints. As you’ll see in this video, he more than held his own.

At just 5-foot, 6-inches, Chesney is able to sneak around and between bigger defenders. He ran routes with the team, catching at least one deep ball, and fielded punts. In fact, when he caught a punt, it meant the team would get the day off from practice.

OK, it took him three tries, and he bobbled the one he did catch. But it was worth it to see him jump into the arms of a player nearly twice his size. He may be No. 1 on stage, but to Saints fans the Tennessee native will always be No. 7.
