Rodney Atkins Shares Delightful Photo of Smiling Baby Boy
Rodney Atkins' baby boy sure seems happy to be out in the world! The country singer turned to social media to share a picture of Ryder Falcon Atkins at four days old, snuggling on his mama's shoulder with an adorable smile.
"Two love birds....smiling," he writes on Instagram to accompany the picture.
Atkins and wife Rose Falcon welcomed their first child together on Dec. 14 in Nashville. He weighed 8 lbs, 13 oz. and measured 20 inches at birth, and Atkins told People, “He is by far the most precious early Christmas present ever for me, Rose and big brother Eli." Elijah is Atkins' 16-year-old son from a previous marriage.
So Many Babies in 2017!
Adkins has scored a long string of hits including “If You’re Going Through Hell,” "Watching You," “These Are My People” and “Cleaning This Gun." He released his most recent studio album, Take a Back Road, in 2011. His most recent single was “Eat Sleep Love You Repeat,” from his 2014 Greatest Hits album. Falcon is also a singer-songwriter who is best known for writing songs cut by Faith Hill, Lady Antebellum, Eric Paslay and Jessie James Decker.
The couple married in Florida in 2013, with Elijah serving as his father's best man. They announced their baby news via social media on the Fourth of July, and revealed the sex of the baby and the name they'd chosen in September.
Atkins also shared a recent picture of Elijah holding his baby brother and beaming at him, writing, "Brothers...forever #gotyoureyes #gotyourback."
