Shania Twain Gets Her Walk of Fame Star, Announces ‘Today Is Your Day’ to Be Released on June 12

Things are finally looking up for Shania Twain's music career. The famed singer earned her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, and now, she's gearing up to release her new single, 'Today Is Your Day,' on June 12.

The song, which will be broadcast during the finale episode of her docu-show, 'Why Not? With Shania Twain,' marks the singer's official return to country music. It will be available for download on iTunes exclusively immediately following its world premiere on Oprah's OWN network.

Twain's 'Why Not?' mini-series follows the singer as she makes her way back into the industry, and has made her new single -- the first she's solo-written in six years -- a center focus.

In the June 5 'Finding My Voice' episode, we'll watch in awe as the broken singer pursues vocal conditioning with legendary vocal coach Eric Vetro before meeting with music producer David Foster about producing 'Today Is Your Day.'
