Trace Adkins

Trace Adkins is one of the most colorful stars in country music. Prior to his country career he worked on oil rigs, and he was shot through the heart and lungs by his second wife, barely surviving. He has twice been to rehab for alcohol, but despite his unusual life story, the roughneck singer has emerged as a likable Everyman who has also starred on TV and in the movies. Adkins released his debut album, 'Dreamin' Out Loud,' in 1996, scoring a Top 5 hit with 'Every Light in the House' and his first No. 1 with '(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing).' His second and third albums were less successful, but in 2001 his 'Chrome' album hit the Top 5, and its title song reached the Top 10. 2005's 'Songs About Me' scored an enormous crossover success with 'Honky Tonk Badonkadonk,' which hit the pop Top 40. He has scored additional hits with 'Ladies Love Country Boys' and 'You're Gonna Miss This,' both of which topped the country charts. Additionally, Adkins competed on two seasons of 'Celebrity Apprentice,' winning the second time, and has also acted in a number of films, including 'The Lincoln Lawyer' and 'Moms' Night Out.' In recent years he has turned his attention to some very different projects, releasing an album of love songs, 'Love Will ...,' in 2013. He released his first Christmas album, the Celtic-tinged 'The King's Gift,' later that year.
