Taylor Swift has landed an important role in Universal's big-screen adaptation of 'Dr. Seuss' The Lorax,' an animated movie that retells the plot of the original story, where a young boy meets a creature called 'The Lorax' that is fighting to protect the surrounding environment. The film will also star big-time Hollywood actors Danny DeVito, Ed Helms, Zac Efron and Betty White.

Swift will provide the voice for Audrey, the dream girl who is coveted by the main character, Ted, who will be played by Efron. The film is being put together by much the creative team responsible for last summer's critically acclaimed 'Despicable Me,' and follows Taylor's live-action acting debut in 'Valentine's Day.'

Even with her busy recording, touring and now film-making schedule, Taylor's finding time to do plenty of good deeds as well, helping the University of Kansas swim team and helping UNICEF raise money for people around the world without clean drinking water. Her Speak Now tour hits America on May 27 in Omaha, Neb.
