Get Taylor Swift’s Teen Choice Awards Look

When it comes to her look, Taylor Swift has never been the flashy, over-the-top type. The 21-year-old 'Mean' hitmaker can turn heads on the red carpet with a subdued style and simple makeup. At the 2011 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday, Swift sported an elegant dress with understated CoverGirl makeup, making it easy for just about anyone to recreate her gorgeous presentation.

"Since this was Teen Choice, held in August in sunny Los Angeles, Taylor and I wanted to go with a summery, youthful look. To us, that meant color, especially since she had a cream palette for her dress," makeup artist Lorrie Turk spilled.

To accentuate Swift's youthful skin and give her an August-worthy radiance, Turk chose Covergirl NatureLuxe Silk Foundation and a subtle peachy blush for her cheeks. In order to pull out the sea blue in the 'Love Story' singer's eyes, the artist used the CG Eye Enhancers1-Kit Shadows in Turquoise Tempest #435 and Exact Eyelights Eye-Brightening Eyeliner in Radiant Sapphire #710, with a little NatureLuxe Mousse Mascara to round it all out.

Being that she's a singer, it's only natural for people's gazes to be drawn to Swift's lips, so Turk kept bold color at a minimum there with CG LipPerfection Lipcolor in Rapture #280, completing the look.

The best part of Taylor Swift's Teen Choice Awards look is that it really is within reach for the non-red carpet folks -- many of the CoverGirl products actually used on Swift are under $10 at the local drug store.

The hitmaker's look must have really worked for her at the awards show, as Swift took home a total of several trophies.
