Tenille Townes Performs Soulful ‘Somebody’s Daughter’ on the Today Show
Tenille Townes performed her latest single, "Somebody's Daughter," on the Today Show in the Artist Lounge as part of the Citi Summer Concert series.
Townes' performance showed off just how unique and controlled her vocal capabilities are. The song acts as the first taste for fans from her upcoming studio album on Columbia Nashville.
"Such an honor to play @TODAYshow," Townes tweeted. "Can’t believe this just happened! Thank you for having me. I’ll never forget my first morning show performance. What a wild thing to get to share this song on such a cool platform."

"This version of this song is so special to me and I’m so glad you can officially hear it now," Townes tweeted. "These girls and their voices, their stories and their courage inspire me so much."
Townes is currently supporting Dierks Bentley on his Burning Man Tour through Sept. alongside Jon Pardi and Bentley's 90's cover band, Hot Country Knights.
