Thomas Rhett's wife Lauren has issued a hot dad alert after seeing her husband holding their newborn daughter.

Rhett and his wife welcomed Ada James Akins on Saturday (Aug. 12) after a whopping 36 hours of labor for Lauren, and shared the news with fans on Sunday (Aug. 13) via Instagram. Lauren turned to social media again on Monday (Aug. 14) to share a picture of Rhett sweetly holding little Ada, looking tired but happy and content, adding the hashtag #hotdadalert.

She also shared another achingly sweet close up photo of the baby wrapped in a blanket with her eyes closed, gushing, "So obsessed. Cannot believe God has given us TWO precious daughters in just 3 months & didn't know my heart could be this full," adding a series of icons and hashtags to emphasize her point.

The couple brought home their adopted daughter, Willa Gray, in May, and by then they already knew that they were also expecting a biological child. They learned the child was a girl in February and shared the news online in an adorable gender reveal.

Rhett will have a few weeks at home with his expanding family before he releases his third studio album, Life Changes, on Sept. 8. The album’s lead single, “Craving You,” is a duet with Maren Morris that gave him his most recent No. 1 hit, and Rhett recently dropped a second single from the album titled “Unforgettable.” He's also been on the road on his headlining Home Team Tour, and the singer admits there's one thing that concerns him about having two daughters.

"One thing I’m terrified about is, I’m already so busy … how in the world am I gonna balance the career and kids? And I think the answer is, it’s impossible. So, lots of Red Bull. Dierks [Bentley] said lots of Red Bull."
